My first car is a Gen 5 SS, how should I feel about it being replaced by a Gen 6?

I have this awkward feeling that my car is being replaced by lets face it a car that will be better.

Does anyone else have this weird feeling?

That thought has crossed my mind. As rumors and fact show that the Gen 6 is going to be lighter stiffer and have more power than the Gen 5 i pretty sure some of us will feel like we have an outdated car. But then i remember that i have a beautiful looking car and the Gen 5 was the Camaro that revived the model with a huge impact and that makes it a little more special.

When I see a C6 corvette I still double take at it even though the C7 stingray is out ...

Enjoy what you have. Just welcome it as a challenge to outrun the newer model

It might perform better but won't look better. Just look at the new charger lmfao

So far Gen6 is not a night and day difference from my Gen5 2015 1LT RS and thus, not interested in upgrading. I love my Shakira 2015.

I'm sure some folks will want to have the latest and greatest and I'm sure it will be a very nice car but I'm fairly certain my 2014 is the car I'll be buried in.

It's only better if you haven't modded your car already. At this point buying a 6th gen would be a downgrade.

there is always something newer and better around the corner
unless your dripping in cash you will have to make do with what u have..
at least the camaro5 has proper modern suspension
imagine how the mustand owners must feel with the all new platform out without oxcart suspension.some of those mugs have put 10's of thousands into their cars..and now with a new platform they must be kicking themselves
with irs the camaro can always be made to perform ..

Car companies come out with a new car every single year. This practice holds true with every industry, such as TVs.

Cars generally depreciate ever year....

It's all good. If you like what you purchased enjoy it until you need something different or have enough money to always buy new stuff.

Somebody told me the new Camaro SS is being benchmarked against the current 1LE model. If that's the case, I don't feel too worried about that. I'm as curious as anyone else to see how beautiful it'll look though. a few bolt-ons and we should be able to stay with / beat it.
