New CamaroFest Visitor - Stupid questions

I'm planning to visit CamaroFest for the first time this year. I plan to be a spectator only. Is there any pre-registration or sign-up required for observers?

Also, where is the nearest place to park a camper and what hookups are available?

Thanks for the info!

Click the "fest sign up" link in my signature. Please post spectator and number of folks that are coming with you. Welcome aboard!

Don't know much about the track as far as hookups and such. Check out their website (Lucas Oil Raceway) and see what they have.

Thanks, Norm!!

As for Campers/power -- there may be space available, we're currently working out the details on that particular question. We'll post something in this section as soon as we know more!

We had name tags/lanyards available last year. It was nice to be able to put a persons username around their neck so the face/screen-name connection was made easier. What a thrill to walk amongst hundreds of people and go "OH, that's YOUUU!!!"

Is this something you (generally speaking) would be interested in again, this year?

name tags......... let's see; I was at the first fest, had a few beers with some folks, a few more, had a lot in common with one owner but never caught his name--- only to come home, get on Camaro5 and PM a good friend with regrets I hadn't caught up with him. Come to find out he recognized me and I had been hanging out in the parking lot with him for most of the evening. Point is, while corny yes, they do help.

I know I've been to both fests and missed a ton of folks I would have liked to say hi to... Some just don't seem to wear them...

This is a mixed feelings issue. While I HATE wearing them (I have to wear them at work & they are a PITA), it really does help at things like this. I have lots of folks I consider friends from C5 whom I have never met and am really looking foward to doing so. I'd hate to miss the opportunity to do so just because no one had name tags on.

Hi George,

Here's your thread

I think we should just do small stickers on the driver side rear windo with user names... that way we wouldn't have to wear them all the time...
