Man 1000RWHP is a lot but totally in reach. Not sure I'll get there. Maybe if I can get close to 900 on my next motor on pump gas, then tune with race gas for a dyno pull to see if 1000 is reachable. I heard the DSS 9" has a noticeable parasitic loss vs others. Figures I ordered a 9" rear end and all the drag racing tracks close down in SoCal.

You will not lose much at all going from the camro rear to the dss 9 inch, anyone that lost any power switched to a steeper gear, thats where the most of the dyno loss comes from, besides you need something to hold all that power

Like my 3.07 gears...

My goal has been to rob as much power as I possibly can.

9.5" LPE Differential
3.73 Gears
4L80 Transmission

Nothing a big shot of dope can't cure.

I guess we'll see...

Very true, that's why I'm doing the rear first. Just been waiting 3 weeks for DSS to ship my kit. I picked 3.90 gears, I'm hoping it's still streetable and a little help at the track. 4.10 seemed to low for me around town and on the freeways.

I wouldve picked the LPE rear end, but everything else that's LPE on my car has been the only issues I've had with my car. So no more LPE products for. I hope you have better luck that I ever did with them. The DSS hammerhead 12 bolt kit was the other option for me. Plus DSS gave me credit for trading in a broken set of their level 5 axles that my car broke at the track.

Interesting...but Lingenfelter doesn't make anything. Their products are manufactured for them, and they simply add their name. The 9.5" was built by American Axle...the same company that designed the factory diff. The axles are made for them by DSS.

Which items did you have trouble with? I'm sure it's easy to find out who actually made them.

The upgraded ZR1 clutch that's 20% stronger eats up slaves but LPE says their shouldn't be issues. Their twin fuel pump kit is glitchy. The tank level is never correct and sometimes my fuel PSI drops to 54#s then jumps up to 78#s. I'm on my second ECM and I got different problem then the first one. I wish I got the RPS Tripple disc clutch and the ADM twin pump kit.

I had the 3.89 gears with my M6 and they were AWESOME street gears.

Frank at DSS recommended 3.55 gears for mine, so that's what I went with.
