I'm just talking about what team looks strongest right now. Patriots still have a decent offense. It's no where near as good as it was...say 3-4 years ago. And, you have to admit...your defense is not really that good, especially the secondary.

It was fine when you had an unstoppable offense to get by with a passable defense, but IMHO the offense has taken a step back this year. And, we'll see what further free agency and draft news we'll see before we see if either your offense or defense improves this year.

Brady is your consistent star, but remember that the team is what matters here. The defense doesn't look good for future championships. I'd be concerned.

3-4 yrs ago ???? The offense has been the best it's ever been recently other than the 07 season with Moss. 3-4 yrs ago, no running game to speak of, No Gronk & Hernandez...their offense will probably remain top in the league as it has the past couple seasons. Damn....I thought you followed football closer than that, too many Russel Wilson videos got you in a funk.
Their Defense only needs to be shored up in the safety/corner...signing Talib will go a long way in doing that, hopefully they're working on a deal

and for the record...IIRC the Pats were somewhere around 10th in the league for points allowed.
