So, I couldn't help but notice there was no slide over sport shift mode on the shifter like in the G8GT.... this makes me sad :(

Looks great. I loved the way the interior was evolving even in the old pics held together with tape.

The guage lighting, blue with red indicators, is fantastic. It's the same as in our '08 Equinox Sport. And it looks great in the Equinox.

I like dark gray/black interiors, want an auto, and steering wheel controls. I feel like I'm looking at my interior already.

You need an assistant! I will work cheap. I cannot wait to see the production cars. Good to hear they are beginning to come to life as we speak. Thanks for keeping us posted.

Other than those smallllllll gripes, this is a huge improvement over the earlier editions we have been seeing. Now... if we could just get past the snoozy look of this test model. SO far, I am just bored with the exterior. I think its the headlights and lack of paint-flare which this body style obviously must have... Colors will make this car or break this car... Too bad gas prices are going to be 4.50/gallon before it hits the market... This car might be DOA if it can't get past that... Remember the Judge...GTO's death brought on by OIL/Gas problems....
Couple questions...1. Why does it matter where the ignition is located?? Or were you looking for a push-button ignition?? Either way...does it matter?? 2. Do you think that this is the final iteration of the production Camaro? I think that it should be pointed out once again that these are EARLY pre-production cars...Recently Scott told us that Camaros were being flown up from Australia so that the interiors could begin getting "texture" as he called it. So, I would venture to guess that those vents ARE last minute-ish...why bother shelling out MORE money just to have perfect looking vents?? The same idea goes for the shifter...And as far as your comment about the "improvements" over the last interior shots we've seen...it's not much different...*just sans tape...* Other than that, the design has remained the same.

And one more thing...I'll argue that if you think that the Camaro will be DOA, because of gas prices...then so will the Mustang and Challenger...

Have you ever driven a car with the gate shifter? I'll be honest with you...if you haven't...it's not that fun. In fact, I don't think it's fun at all...I think that if there will be any sort of "manual" shifting for the automatic...it'll be paddle shifters (the Malibu even has that)...I've never driven a car with paddle shifters...but I have driven one with the gate shifters...and I'm actually glad that this pre-pro isn't showing it...

I agree, I've driven both back when I used to sell cars...I personally couldn't stand the paddle or gate shifters. Give me a good ol stick shift anyday.

Yeah there is really nothing new here. Here is what I think, this is not the new interior or even close! remember we have 4 months till indy much will change. More proof of this is the fact that the stampes are just being finished.

Now my thoughts about this interior stays the same I hate, no wait, if I see that damn radio and A\C control set up in my Camaro I will remove it and smash it to all hell an custom make the concept style myself.

Does anyone know, with the new accessiories being brought out for the camaro, are there plans to do anything like the Sync that Microsoft has given to Ford?
