Question Front Splitters - Help/Advice Needed!

Hello All!
So, I've been doing my research for over a month now on front splitters for my 2012 Rally Yellow SS. I've talked to a few people about which kind, brand and style to buy. However, even after a month I'm still more confused than ever.

My wishes for a front splitter are as follows:

• Looks similar to the ZL1 or 1LE stock splitter
• High quality material / won't easily fall off
• Carbon fiber - which brings up a different question. Should I wrap whatever splitter I get or should I get it in hydro-carbon fiber? (I don't even know if ACTUAL carbon fiber is an option?)

I'm just all confused. Not sure what to do. Any advice will be appreciated at this point.

Thanks!
~M

Real cf will look better than hydro dipped or vinyl wrap...but will usuall cost a lot more...

U can always get a 1le diffuser from gm? Quality would be factory grade...and if u want to dip or wrap it you could...or you could find someone to put real cf over it...that would solve most your wishes

Have you checked out the SLP or RPI splitters. I've just installed an SLP splitter on my Camaro, you can check it out here. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=306108

I first had the GM GFX and it was nice ,,, it fit great and was very stable. it also doesn't go any lower than what is on the car,,, I have since changed to zl1 front end....

for what a front spoiler cost you might consider the zl1 front end ,,, that is if you like it... there are some great deals on the zl1 kit... paint isn't much more either to paint the front end versus the spoiler

here is a pic of my car

I would recommend the RPI splitter. Have had mine for 4 months and I love it.

Sounds like RPI is what you're looking for. This is hydro dipped and in hindsight that's a better option than actual carbon fiber...because mine has taken a beating and I'd be pissed if I spent the money on an actual cf piece and beat it up.

I too have a rally yellow. I went with the SLP. It is very high quality and there is no way it is coming off. It really give the car a more aggressive look. This is the cheapest way to change that front end look without doing the ZL1 swap.

Here is a thread I started when I installed mine:

The RPI is nice but it does sit quite a bit lower than stock. I recently swapped out for the ACS and I think it is a better quality product and it sits at stock height.

For those who have the SLP splitter, does it only come in one color/finish? If so, is it possible to get it painted or wrapped in CF? So many options!

Can also take a look at the ACS splitter looks exactly like the 1LE and does not lower your ride height
