The new bridge above the dam is open. There's also a walkway along side it. Awesome view of the dam from the walkway! Been there in March. Absolutely beautiful!

Howdy 6BANGER!

It is great to see those old AMC's. I used to have a 1970 Mark Donahue Javelin in high school. It was a beautiful car...dark forest green. Your photo brings back good memories

Pro shots

If you guys ever take the time to organize something like this again, and want pro photos done, contact me. I'd make myself available for a very reasonable price. Seems a shame not to have an event like this photographed professionally. Wasn't there a shot done from the front center of the group while parked along the dam? Good job by whoever did the photos though.

Really Rob53, you gotta say it wasn't to your liking? Sorry we let you down. We had 15 minutes to drive from a mile away, park the cars and do the best we could with that time frame. I do however look forward to your shots of your camaro club on the Golden Gate Bridge. Go ahead, get a National Monument closed down for your professional photographs. It's so easy to pull off, go and top what we did. Besides, a front center pic isn't possible, we were on a dam Bro !

Awesome, awesome shots! How cool is it that you had the whole dam to yourselves?

...on another note, damn has the water level dropped. :(

I'm not sure how you interpret what I wrote as not to my liking? In fact at the very end I did say that whoever posted the pix, did a good job. I stand by that, they are good photos. I think the question I had in mind was that this was obviously well planned, you had a police escort. I would have cleared everyone out of the shot, or have them stay in their cars to get the "main" shot from the best vantage point. I haven't been there since the new construction, so didn't know if there was a point where the cars could be centered for the best possible shot. To repeat though, I like the photos, great job.

That's cool Rob 53. It seemed like you we're saying we blew it. There was so much planning involved and we literally had minutes to pull it off. With that amount of time we did it well. We got a great chance of doing it again next year. Hoover is very long and it could park around 150 cars on it, perhaps 200. We will invite the Nevada , Cali, Arizona and Utah peeps to join us. We then could afford a Helicoptor to shoot the pick am sure .
