Not a bad looking car, but I'll still be ordering my 2SS. I like the Camaro better.

Funny thing is I always told my wife that the only thing I would change on the GT500 was the lasrge racing stripes. Thy were in my opinion to thick on the rear of the car for the new 2010 Mustang design. Now with the SVT Performance Pack they come with vintage Racing Stripes that are skinnier! I've got to say I have never been more impressed by a Ford they really are going all out and that engine is great! I remeber my Uncle's business partner had the '04 Ford GT and whne I drove in it I said wow what an engine. Ford is aaying that is engine will exceed the performance of the the Ford GT due to a better blower! I'm blown away, no pun intended!

Actually, the stripes on the GT500 are the exactly the same width as they were on the original Shelby cars. Considering the newer version is actually wider than the original GT500 (73.9" vs 70.9") I'm not sure why you think they are too big for the new car but okay for the previous generation.

But as usual I wouldn't expect anything less than a critical comment from you as your first post to this thread.

How was I being critical? I just noted that I did not understand where you were coming from. Now you have explained it, I understand and we can move on.

Yeah I had a 2009 Corvette, sold it when I got engaged. Got a 2010 Camaro SS, sold it when I saw this car! No I sold it in Nov. ust didn't do it for me. I refuse to wait for a Z28 if there really is going to be one? I already contacted my dealer earlier this month and told them I wanted a Grabber Blue with White Stripes! SVT Performance Pack for me too please! By the way this is my first post I am new here and I must say I am not here to start trouble I respect the Camaro, always have, but it was time for CHANGE and I don't mean the Obama kind!

I would have to see in person, but I think I like the wider stripes actually.
But awesome car. Too bad the price tag is so high. I could never justify that price tag for a brand new Mustang (even though it performs so well) ________ Honda fit Last edited by jrc1122; 03-11-2011 at 10:54 PM. |

really really nice car! (yours is as well garagelogic!). sure i own a SS but, my bro has a cobra conv, step dad has 2 newer GT conv (one with saleen gfx etc), and i am still a fan of the blue oval as well. i love my SS but there is no denying that the GT500 is an awesome car, and if it wasnt so much more money than my SS i certainly might have got one. the front end of that car just looks great. it actually looks like a snake with those headlights and the grill opening.

I LOVE THESE PERFORMANCE WARS BETWEEN THE BIG 3.IT REMINDS ME OF THE OLD DAYS.THAT NEW MUSTANG 5.0,302c.i. IS GOING TO BE STRONG.CAN'T WAIT TO SEE SOME TIME SLIPS.I THINK IT WILL FORCE GM TO PRODUCE THE Z28 OR UPGRADE THE 6.2L.
