The opinions you get will be bias to the one they have on their car.

I think the question is very subjective. What do you mean by "best?" Most reliable? Most rwhp? Most torque? Best looking? Most wins at the track?
I can only tell you that I also recently went through making this same decision. It's an expensive purchase and you are right to spend some time researching it. Here is what I decided on and why. I went with the Magnacharger TVS2300. It was just installed last week. It looks great and has been installed on more cars than any other supercharger so it has a proven record of reliability. It also creates very good horsepower and torque off the line. I do all of my driving between zero and 85 mph. That's where a supercharger excels. Here is a pic of mine from last week while the car was still on the dyno. Good luck with your decision. |

Thanks for the reply. i understand that this is a biased question based on what everyone has in their cars but ive heard good things about many superchargers out there. magnacharger, procharger, kenne bell. they are also similarly priced also. all opinions and info is helpful and i just liike to hear what people have to say about it. id like to get a supercharger that produces lots of power, torque, and looks good. thanks again for your reply. ive heard good things about magnacharger and it looks awesome. thanks for the pictures.

There are many more pictures in my car journal too. If you click on my signature picture, it will take you to my car journal. The sc pics are all in the last 4 or 5 pages.
I can totally appreciate what you're going through with your research. There does come a point where you just have to pick one. But, I agree with you, it's a really good idea to do your homework so you can decide which option best suits your needs. Whichever one you decide on, you will love it! |

my question is Gm going to have their own supercharger for the Z-28? If so it would be a part number and I would bet would fit on the SS. Curious as to what the cost and HP numbers something like this might have,.

I don't think you could go wrong with any of the new S/C's for the Camaro - Magnuson, Edelbrock, KB, whipple. All have quality built in.
Most important thing is who installs and tunes it. You want it done right the first time. |

Most of us who want to put a supercharger on our camaros ask these questions.
The first thing is what is your ultimate goal? The next thing I guess is what kind of power do you want? and lastly, atleast for me, how does it look. I've gone over this myself so many times and for a day wanted this one or that one but I always go back to wanting the maggie. Since the only thing I'll probably be doing to my car is adding a supercharger it is the one for me thus far. It's the most popular and I haven't heard anything bad about them, or any other one. Here is a link to a post that I asked a lot of good questions about superchargers. http://www.camaro5.com/forums/showthread.php?t=77958
