Torq and Pfadt getting ready for the LSFest!

We are heading up to Bowling Green, KY for the 2010 LS Fest, and now is a better time then ever to get some work done on our own Project car.

As most of you know we built her with world class handling in mind, as I was born a Road Racer (my father brought me home from the hospital as a new-born in his then, new Corvette Stingray) this was the only way to go.

We will be competing in the Autocross, 0-60-0 and also the Grand Challenge Competition so a little bit of drag racing will be done as well. We actually do a lot of drag racing set-ups here at Torq, but this car was built with corner-carving in mind.

We have been running stock brakes with Hawk DTC-70 pads and Motul RBF-600 fluid and it has worked phenomenal but with the new tires a little more braking power is definitely needed.

To help out with that we are going with a set of Brembo 6 piston GT calipers, they will be custom painted to match the car and bolt on the Brembo slotted rotors.

We have 2 different set-ups for tires depending the class/type of racing we are doing with the car. The first set are the Toyo R888 R-compounds in 285/35-20 on all 4 corners

The other set are Nitto NT-05's, 315's in the rear and 275's in the front on our light-weight rims

The Camaro is also going through a little of an "evolution" on the suspension side, so we hooked up with Pfadt Racing and put together an amazing "handling package" for the Camaro. As we speak the following is being installed!
  • Pfadt Racing fully adjustable Coil-overs
  • Pfadt Racing Rear Trailing Arms
  • Pfadt Toe-Link Assembly
  • Pfadt Solid Subframe Mounts
  • Pfadt Poly C-Arm Street Spherical Bushings
  • Pfadt Street Polyurethane Differential Bushings

Here are a few shots!

Pfadt Coil-Over (don't mind the dis-coloration of the calipers, 30+ trackdays has a tendency to do that to them)

Make sure to stop by if you guys and gals are attending the LSFest! We will be posting lots of pictures and video from the LSFest during the whole weekend for all you who couldn't attend
