Can you buy an LSX376 short block?
Just curious if you can buy an LSX376 short block? Tossing around the idea of converting my L99 with all the goodies or just sucking it up and getting a short block built for FI.
The LSX376 seems like it would be a decent choice but I can only find it in a bare block or long block and I want to use a JRE smooth idle blower cam package and some other upgraded valve train parts so do not want topay for them in the Long Block just to replace them. Having a hard time deciding which way I want to go but want to learn more about the possibilities of the LXS376 short block first.

I believe there's one guy here who has one bout$6000 or $5000 + for ls3 conversion. The motor will have forged internals whereas the conversion just changes dod vvt cam and compression with heads being done, just keep in mind if u think about spraying u need forged internals

Do not plan on using spray ever, at least not NOS. Possibly water meth but thats just for a safety check more then anything, not for a power adder.
Maybe it would just be easier to get a new LS3 block or maybe just take the winter, pull my L99 and send the short block off to get rebiult. Go many choices!!!! Would love a fully forged 408-416-418 stroker built specifically for forced induction, reuse my heads with upgraded springs and pushrods. Would be nice to have my complete L99 to resell to recover some of the new engine cost.
