Surface scratch on hood (might have been me). Best solution ? Want to do it right the first time..Thanks

Then it can most likely be polished out with a DA random orbital polisher.

No. But I can feel it. I will try ( I have a porter cable 7424 xp), but any advice if it doesn't work ?

Either way we would suggest the least aggressive method. So attempt to polish it out and see where that gets you.
