327 with TPI?
Hey guys I Am new to the Forum, Just registered today, I have been a Life Long fan of Camaro's.
My Step dad And I did a full resto on his 68 when I was 12. and I got my first Camaro when I was 15 and I have owned 3 camaros and a 00Firebird. I am deployed right now, and my dad really wants to get rid of his 68. I am seriously thinking of making him an offer when get home. It was restored 14 years ago and has only had around 3000 miles put on it since. only thing it needs is re-painted. I have question, about the 327. Can I put a TPI on this engine? I really want to do twins on it if I buy it, But I want to do Fuel injection if I do and I do not want to take the original block out of it. Thanks guys. |

There are much better injection systems than the TPI.TPI is not nearly as supported these days. I would use a modern injection and get better results. Chevrolet performance has all the harnesses and controllers ready to plug and play. I am talking about the LS Series motors

Thank you for the reply,
I do believe I found the answer to my question. I would just like to ask if someone can clarify for me another question. Are all small block chevy intakes interchangeable, say I have the 68 camaro with the 327. and I take a tpi off of an 85 305 or 350 will it fit the same on the 327 as well as all small block chevy's? |

The intakes should be virtually the same for all small blocks. The only difference that I think you would run into is the size and shape of the ports on each.

Only '85 TPIs will work on the 327, being that it's older. In '86, GM went to a different head design, so if you are going to get a TPI setup from an '86+ car, you'll need different heads.
