I bet they don't make many. The reason, as I said before, is exclusivity. It sells. You can easily get a very low mileage C6 Z06 for cheaper and have a much better track car with the amenities for everyday included.

LoL ..... and how many folks will actually use this car for what it is designed for ???? .... a track car that most will attempt to buy just to say they have one .... How many "real" race car drivers on this site that will buy one, not just casual racers or weekend warriors ???

Happiness ??? so, you buy a car that is well above average for it's MSRP but you can't and aren't able to put it to it's full potential, especially for most folks that are interested in purchasing this Camaro .... Yeah, I get that .. again, most will buy just to say they have one .....
I just hope those that buy don't act like Hot Shots and try to push this car to it's limits on the streets while they try and impress friends and hopefully we don't read about it in the news .... |

15K over a ZL1 with a greater attention to track readiness... MUCHO GOOD!

Exactly. Again, I would love to have one and if the opportunity presents itself I will make a strong effort to get one. However, I would most likely never be able to push this car to its limits and that is fine with me. Having one would make me happy and if others can't deal with that just because I would not be racing it every weekend, well that is much more your problem than mine.

At 75K I can't afford to mod it until its paid for, stock is boring even if it is a Z/28.

I think that this car was made to be exclusive. I don't think GM wants lots of them on the street.
Harken back to 1970 ZR1 package. They came without radios, power steering, or air conditioning and had roll up windows. This was intended to keep most off the street and on the race tracks, much like the Z/28 will be for 2014. GM could have made this car like the COPO and for racing only but how many Camaro enthusits would have complained about that. With the limited numbers expected, 1500 per year for the 2 year production run they will probaly all sell well. As was mentioned earlier in this thread, the 2015 ZO6 will possibly steal some buyers with the undoutably superior performance. But this car will price out at far above $75,000. I am not in the market personally for the Z/28 and am planning on keeping my ZL1 forever and hopefully a 6th gen 1LE if one will be offered, as I don't track my cars. Having said that, I am looking forward to the Z/28 hitting the tracks and showing the world what Chevy can do. As a Camaro owner, even another model, I will be proud of the accomplishment.
