Camaro LS Question: Traction Control
I see that the 2010 Camaro's have traction control standard (as like most GM cars). My question is, has anyone experienced a rear wheel drive platform from GM with traction control?
How well does it perform in comparison to FWD cars with traction control? My plan is to buy a new Camaro LS next summer (when our lease is up on our Cobalt using the summer pull ahead program). I don't want to drive it in the winter, so my plan is to buy a $1500 beater for the winter (I live in Wisconsin). If for any reason I am unable to find my beater car prior to the start of winter, I am curious as to how well these platforms perform in winter condtions, if worst comes to worse. I have been wanting a Camaro since I was 16 (20 years ago), and the wife has given the "permission", so now is the time. Any experience you have had would be interesting to hear. Thanks fellow Camaro fans!

Yeah, pretty much works the same way. Cuts power when the wheels start slipping. The new Camaro will have the newest traction system available so it may work a differently with the same concept. With the LS you'll have a taller side wall with allseason tires and add in all the winter testing that was done on this car I think you'll be ok if you have to do some winter driving.

Thanks Black5thgen. (based on your name, looks like you are going black like me .
I have owned a 1982 Monte Carlo with a 350 V8, and a 1984 Olds Cutlass with a V6, and drove them in the winters, no problem. I had a 2003 Dodge Dakota Quad Cab Sport with the V8 in it recently, and I didn't have any problems driving that in the winter either (kicked it in to 4x4 when necessary). I just wasn't sure about this car since it was such a low profile. I was still planning on buying it either way, but I was more or less just curious. Thanks man.
