I put mine in the attic. That was a lot of fun to fit in the little opening.

I saved the whole thing (even left the O2 sensors in it - I bought new ones for the new system). My plan will be to put it back on the car should I ever sell it. The car will be worth more unmodified and I will be able to sell the aftermarket exhaust for close to what I paid for it. I do this with any stock parts I remove.

Being able to sell aftermarket exhaust is a good idea. I've done that on several of my cars.

But the car being worth more with the stock exhaust is not true. I've always been able to get more money out of a sale or trade because of a good stainless catback exhaust (Corsa, Borla, Magnaflow).

I even saw my GTO for sale at a dealership and they used the Corsa exhaust ($2000 value - as stated by the dealership -lol) as a selling point for the car.

I installed a Magnaflow system and took the stock exhaust to a local "you pull it" yard and they gave me just over $200 for it.

Some of the V6 guys are installing the factory SS exhaust systems. Might be able to sell it to one of those guys.

Dont just throw it away, all that stainless has a nice value as just scrape metal, and you could get a good chunk of money for it's scrape value alone. In your area there might be a guy with a truck and trailer who comes around collecting scrape metal, and he'd pay you a chunk of money for it, take it to the scrape yard, and get that money and a little more from the yard. Did that with an old S-10 that a buddy of mine totaled (no collishion insurance). He was going to pay to bring it to his dump, so I told him I'd take it off his hands for free. I then had the scrape metal guy come take it and he paid me $400 for that twisted pile of metal.
