Dealer installed Oil seperator

I heard that you should not have the oil separator installed for everyday driving. Mine was already installed by my dealer before i got my car. Does anyone know if that is true, i dont see it hurting.

It's an EPA thing. The oil separator is technically for off road use. GM complies with the EPA by having it ship in a plastic bag. Dealers are dumb.
