2011 v6 or m6

Hi am trying to decide between a manual or automatic v6. i am curious to hear input from both manual and auto owners.

Also, technially, is one more problamatic as compared to the other over the long run?

Thanks!

Well im not sure about the problematic part but i have a M6 tranny and i love it. I have had it for about a year and six months now and about 2520 miles on it. I haven't had any really problems. I love it and i recommend it unless you live in a very hilly or traffic filled city

Test drive both. Buy the one you feel most comfortable with. It's that easy.

Apart from the hiccups, I love my M6.
Shes my DD, only under serious traffic jams do I get a little annoyed, until of course i hit the clear patch straight away and im all happy again

I drive manual and for this car I was amazed that so many people would choose the automatic. It being a sports coupe an auto or paddycake paddle shifter really just wont do. Driving a stick in either the v6 or v8 adds to the sportscoupe driving experience, the control the sound going through the gears. I drive in heavy local traffic and highway traffic but shifting doesn't bother me for this vehicle. The only reason I can think of getting an auto is you have a bad left knee, a bad right shoulder or you just don't know how to drive one and are afraid to learn. Sure there are tricks here and there such as being at a light on a 30 degree incline and some asswhole pull 3 in. off your bumber...you learn how to deal with such annoyances.

The Manual would be best with a V8, or a 4-cylinder car.

Automatic is for the V6 cars.

Just my personal opinion.

Get a Black Camaro 2LT RS.

Bought a m6 LT about a month ago, I will NEVER get an auto in this type of car again. Traded in a auto Challenger.

I have quoted a member on this site a couple times. With an auto you are only steering the car, with a manual you are driving it.

Test drive it and see which one you like best. Me personally did not want a manual as a daily driver so I have the automatic in my car, I can still put it in sport mode or play with the paddle shifters.

Auto has paddle shift.... best of both styles..without the fatigue of driving a 6 spd manual in traffic, if that is an issue...I have the V6 auto, 34K miles, 11 mos old..flawless, permagrin and tons of fun...

whats really the point of auto really? unless u dont know how to drive a stick. The paddle shifter will never be the same as a manual. Day and night difference. Its not an SMG.
