I am thinking about getting 20s in the back and maybe 18s or 19 in the front to give it an even meaner stance to go along with that rear wheel drive. What do my fellow Camaro enthusiast think?

It would give it a mean stance, but you have to remember, that will only be possible on the v6 LS/LT because the SS comes with Brembos, which are BIG. The smallest size you will probably get over those is 19".

Look how close the caliper is to the rim on the back:

Cool. I plan on getting the V6 LT/RS anyway. V8, Vegas Traffic, and Gas Prices will not get along.

In most cases that I've seen, 4 inches is required to fit around the brakes. I dunno the layout exactly of the Camaro wheel and tire package, but an 18 on the front and 19 on the back should work. Or 20 on the back.

I think 18 front 20 back would be too much difference, but it seems like it'd be possible given conventional wisdom. I'd go 18 19 or 19 20.

I was thinking that same thing. I need to find a pic of a car that has 18/20 and one 19/20 and see the difference.

Well, 19" on the front will drop the front end by 1/2 inch. Having 18's on the front will drop it 1 inch.

If you really want the effect, 19's really wont be that noticeable, but 18's would be.

Sweet thanks for that info. Would there be any problems with suspension if i were to do this? Also what is the proper term for having larger wheels on the front than the back

because I now know that offset is something totally different. haha.

as long as you make up for the decreased rim size with a little more sidewall on the tire so that your overall wheel height is the same, you wont have a problem.

Wouldn't this deceive the point of getting "staggered"(thank you) wheels? I want it for the stance of the whole car not just the look of the wheels...

not necessarily, unless you are running a huge wheel in the back and a tiny one up front (which wont be possible with the brakes on this car)

im running a 17/18 wheel combo on my Z with the fronts having a taller sidewall to keep the alignment in good shape.

another thing to think about is that the current gm model for the Speedo reading involves the speed from all 4 whees so if they are set up of one size changing to multiple other sizes makes it freak out. i had that problem on my 2005 colorado.
