Why the different shift linkage length??

Why do the two pictures show the shifter at much different heights? The original shifter with the ZL1 logo looks really high. Anyone know which will be used for the manual?

Don't quote me on this but I think it will be closer to the one in the carbon concept. It looks like the other pictures are from one of the first red ones that surfaced. If you look at more recent pictures they seem to be lower also. The one in the carbon concept seems really low so

I think the ones in the red cars where the shifters from the CTS-V. Remember that GM uses a lot of parts from their parts bin.

The first few ZL1's the shifter was much taller. Recently they have been using a shorter shifter length, these are closer to actual production length I believe.

I hope so, a short throw shifter needs to be just that. Seems like the initial versions would have a lot of travel between gears.

I think GM should have that carbon fiber shifter and side door panels as an option for. MY 2013 so I can add them!

Hopefully they offer the whole Carbon Concept. If not, the carbon options and/or accessories would be nice for those that want them.
