Hmmmmmm.......... With the intake plenum located where it is in that picture it looks like the mail slot on the SS could easily be made functional doesn't it? (I've heard it's a fake)
Are those hood latch pins located on either side, on the top of the radiator? Or is this all just wishful thinking? |

It will eventually happen, but it prolly wont be pretty. lots of ducts going from front-upper to bumper-under to engine-bay "twisted this way and that" --- with a custom intake shroud thrown-in. Air can only be convoluted so far before the turbulence and CFM factors outweigh the original ducting purposes. That is assuming you wont take a jig saw to the radiator mounting pieces, or worse. A no-vent front fascia, and a vented hood makes MUCH more sense, in FUNCTIONAL terms, IMHO .

(he has a c6rs, which has a functional mail slot dinger)...but yes, i'll probably resort to a hood scoop. i just hope it looks good...the stock hood makes the car what it is almost |

the slit at the top of the SS front end just seems out of place after seeing the RS/LT front end... just doesn't seem like it flows as well... I know its asking for too much, but I'd love to see a delete option for that opening... would just add to the sleeper look of the car.

I'm fairly positive that both of these pics are very much photoshopped... of all of the SS models we've seen, how many of them had the smaller exhaust pipes at the rear of them like that SS does? someone just forgot to add the bigger exhaust in when they were editing it.
the RS wheels on the SS and LT models will have a slightly darker appearance to them... and that, in turn, will give them a slightly duller appearance at certain angles... the taillamps will be darker, too, but not illegally dark... as Skyman recommended in another thread, adding some tint (or Night Shade spray) to the front turn signal markers in the grill will make them almost match the taillights and give the car a more complete appearance... at least that would do until the aftermarket provided a new grille and hideaway light covers

Sorry, but I'm just not liking the front bumper of the SS. That little lip shouldn't flare out on the sides like that (at the bottom of the fascia). It just looks weird, too square. Adding that bottom lip is a great idea to distinguish the SS from the LT/LS, but it should flow better with the curves of the front end. I hope they can smooth it out a bit so it doesn't look taped on. And that bottom grill is too tall.

SS Pics
If you look in the sticky about hi resolution wallpaper pics there are two pictures of a silver Camaro with the SS emblems on the rear deck. One is a rear view and the other is an overhead rear view. They are mixed in with the pictures of the silver RS camaro. Maybe it's just a coincidence but it also appears that the mufflers on the picture of the silver SS are black, where in the pictures of the RS Camaros all of the mufflers are silver. It also looks like the wheels on the SS are either polished or chrome, while the ones on the RS look like they are painted. I am assuming that the pictures in this sticky are official pictures released by GM.

Never fails. As soon as I complain about a part the car, I see something that changes my mind about it. I just happened to be glancing through a magazine (Vanity Fair supplement called Fashion-something) and I see an advertisement with Fergie standing next to the new Camaro. It was an SS model, and it looked badass! The car was silver and I can't tell if the front fascia is the same as the ones that were leaked before, but it looked very nice. The lower grill was still too tall, but it looked great regardless. I don't have a scanner, and I've been looking for the picture online with no luck. If anyone finds it, feel free to post a picture here.
