ok so i have my fourth gen and currently is giving me probs (its a v6) found a lm7 vortec v8 cheap and in good condition what do you guys think on a swap ?

I would do LS1 as well..but if you are getting a deal on the Vortec...why not...just make sure it fits properly.

Does it bolt up to your trans, fit your eng. mounts, cooling system, wiring harness, eng. control/computer, etc.?

Do what you got to do to get around for the lowest reliable cost......save for the 5th Gen

I'd say do it. Since its giving you problems, you'd prob have to spend as much to repair the V6.
