Personally I feel as though I'm the best mod on the site. I'll take your $250 bucks. Thanks!
FIRST MOD EVER SHOULD BE A FIRE EXTINGUISHER! In all honesty, what do you want to do with your car? There is no best mod overall. If you want visual impact, I prefer the heritage grill or LED/SMD sidemarker lights. If you want performance, Possibly look at Intakes or brake ducting from the ZL1. I believe it fits the SS and will allow a little bit more air to help cool your brakes. |

I have the intake. Brake ducting, huh? I'll have to look into that.

Best mod? Depends on where you want to go .. I fully agree so far; however, the skip shift will probably be the best mod in my opinion. Do you really want the Camaro to drive you .. or you to drive the Camaro.

It's just a small plastic piece that routes some air from the lower grill into the wheel well. I believe the ss has the same mounting holes for the piece. I have no idea on what it costs though. Those are the only things that I know of the could be under 250. Short throw shifter is another option also.

I have the following: short throw, CAI and black bowties.
The brake ducting sounds interesting. Still on the fence with the catch can. Several mechanics/car guys have said it's not necessary. I was thinking about a strut tower brace and drive shaft brace.

If you don't know what you want, you are simply wasting money.

I know what I want; it's MORE than $250. That's why I used the term "thoughts" in the first post. I'm just looking to bounce around some ideas.

+1 on the catch can, then put the rest toward that expensive mod you are looking at.

Short throw shifter is the best one close to your price range. I have the MGW with the composite race knob and I love it. Window tint, and heritage grill are great too.
