Made my pass in the 68! Done this on street tires and full exhaust. Came off the line slow and easy till about the 60 foot mark and nailed it. Tires started spinning had to let all the way out and then eased back into it till full throttle. I over reved 1st to 7000 on the limiter and after a few seconds I decided to shift...lol! I shifted to 3rd at 6600 and went through the traps at 6500. My 60 footer was a 1.91 and my 1/4 mile time was a 11.625 @124 mph. I think if I had the slicks on and the exhaust open and the weather was a lot better than the 90 degrees and 65% humidity the car should have run a low to mid ten pass. Not too bad for a pump gas street car!

It was just too hot. I had to pass on ORP. I couldn't find a helmet and I knew if I went and couldn't run, I would be bummed. Maybe next time.

Another idea I was thinking about was having a meet at Fastimes. They have a pretty good sized parking lot, and people could go inside and do go carting. I have been there before and it is a lot of fun. I also know that if we had enough interest we could probably look into getting the place rented out just for us. I know we did this several years ago with a bar I used to go to (Taylor's). I am not sure of the cost but I could look into it if we have enough interest.

And as for an update to the Sam's meet. . . I talked to the wife of the head of our marketing team today and she said they are OK with it and now need to let our GM look it over. He wasn't there today but she said they should give it to him to look over tomorrow. I work tomorrow and all weekend, so hopefully I will have something definite to share by the beginning of next week at the latest.

I've never been there. I'm looking at their website now, and it looks really cool.

A bunch of CICC members are planning to go. We are meeting at the Kroger parking lot by the McDonalds at SR267 and US136 at 5:30 am. The show opens at 6 am.

Nothing... may have a harder time parking but thats about it. I beleive they are expecting 400+ cars

Looks like I'll be there. Son has a project due Monday on the Evolution of the Camaro. He needs some pics of G1-G4 Camaros. So looks like we will be there sometime around 9ish.
