Seems my Engine siezed on August 7th 2010 and the Dealership states my Cam is bad and the oil pump is bad and few other things are not right with the Engine. The Dealership said since they can't get a Cam they told GM to replace my Engine with a Crate Engine from Canada. Well I am still waiting for the Crate Engine from Canada to get to Las Vegas. I hope to get my CAMARO back soon maybe September??? I am driving a Rental.

Andbody had this trouble with their Engine???

I would ask them to replace my broken engine with an ls7 instead and negotiate a deal to pay the difference for the ls3 due to my time and anguish of a seized engine in a new car from gm. Now's a great time since it's also a crate engine and you are not on the hook for install fee's from the dealer but will get the security of a warranty from gm.

Yeah dude, sorry for your loss. I hope you are not paying for the rental. This is the first bad LS3 I seen on these boards but you never know, anything is possible.

if the vehicle is in the shop for more than 30 days over the course of the first year, you can get a brand new camaro for FREE!

Yes it is a L99 due to I have an automatic Tranny. I bought my CAMARO on 6-24-09 and I only have 7000 miles on it. Yes I love Las Vegas but I have not driven near Craig Road Actually I am on the South East side of Las Vegas near Henderson. I will look in to the cost of a LS7 too. By the way GM is paying for the Rental. Enterprise gave me a Silverado Pickup Truck nice LOL LOL! Thanks ALL for you repiles too!

Doesn't quite work that way. You have to give them one last chance to fix it and if they are putting a new engine in it then it seems they are fixing it. Believe me I looked into it when mine ended up in the shop for a month because they couldn't find the "knock" I was having, they heard it just couldn't locate it....in the end GM ordered a new engine with less than 10,000 miles on the car. Ended up being a bad wrist pin they found when they tore the engine down. And you wouldn't get a new Camaro for free.

Good luck OP! Once I was told they were putting a new engine in mine it only took a week to get it back to me, hopefully you do not have to wait much longer!!

What the hell, go for broke and ask to replace it with a LS9. The worst they can say is " I don't think so"
