MRT Exhaust v2.0 burning my bodykit

Few days ago I just installed the MRT v2.0 exhaust..
dammm I loved the sound !! so deep and sexy and everything.

but im getting this one problem...

the exit of my MRT v2.0 is touching the upper part of the Camaro's body part... where the hole of the exhaust is located... and since the exhaust gets hot, day by day, it is slowly burning the body part where it touches....

hmm.... did anyone have that problem??

how should i fix this?? unscrew the exhuast, aim more downwards and screw it again??

THank you guys.

Never had an issue with mine. Just make sure they are centered.

Depending on how you installed them (welded or clamped) I would remove then re-install and see if that works. Also, when I installed mine I could make little minor adjustments with the black rubber insets where the hangars went. I would try and see if those could be readjusted before taking out the whole system.

Make sure you are centered and sticking out past the rear diffuser.

Yes, loosen the clamps and readjust so the tip is not touching... you will find that sliding the pipe in and out will actually adjust the tip.. As rtcatman pointed you should be able to get the tip centered in the hole.

Also when you go to re-tighten the clamp:

1) Position clamp to the edge of MRT exhaust, clamp should extend
approximately 1/8 inch past end of axle back tube.

2) Make sure you hold the tip in place when you are tightening the clamp

This is exactly what I wanted to discuss. I have ordered the GM ground effects kit and the MRT v2 exhaust for ground effects. This is a special part for cars with ground effects. Anyone else have the exact set up I've ordered?

I had the same problem with my driver's side tip. The passenger side was perfect. I had to loosen the clamp, twist the whole thing to get it centered then tightened the heck out of the clamp. Make sure the clamp is an 1/8" past the new pipe, this is very important. An extra person would also help to hold it in place when you tighten the clamp.

Mine hasn't moved since.
