ZL1/1LE Tires & Winter Storage

I know there are a bunch of threads on this in other sections, but I was curious what the local NEC5 boys are doing. So, are you guys planning on taking them off to store in the house/basement, using flat-stoppers, pumping to higher pressure, something else, or nothing special?

I was planning on pumping to 40-45 psi and parking on carpet pads in my attached but unheated garage and was curious if anyone did about the same or less last year and had no cracking problems.

Last winter I pumped mine up to 45 lbs and left it in the heated garage all winter. I keep it at the lowest setting (about 50). Had no issues or flat spots in the spring. Now traction in the cool spring weather is another story.

I also over inflated and left on carpet covered by a sheet of plastic all under the car in an unheated garage. This year they are coming off and the car's going on blocks.

Blocked the suspension and left them on, in an unheated garage .... thinking about pulling them and putting them in the basement this year

I hate that we have to start thinking about this subject. It's going to kill me to walk past it every day...

I pump mine up to 50psi and park on carpet for the winter in an unheated garage. No issues so far. But I've read that you want to keep them away from direct contact with concrete, as the concrete will suck the moisture out of them.

Those of us with the GY F1's have to watch for damage at 40 degrees and below. There is a bulletin out.

I got a GM ZL1 Camaro car cover I really don't need or use. Pretty much new, only opened the box and tried it out once just to see how it fit. Anybody looking for one I'll let it go for a $100. Here's a pic, do t remember what they sell for, but I'm sure it's much more than what I'm asking.

Hope they didn't put that cover on a dirty car or the thing is now contaminated with crap. Your car needs to be basically spotless or the fine swirls and scratches may rear their ugly heads. Which reminds me we need to detail that thing Mr. One Bad!
