I looked at the pic again and think that you could buff most of that out and use touch up paint, not gonna be 100% like new but minimal cost to you and no claim on ins.I had the same looking damage and cleaned it pretty good and got the dents out also could barely tell there was damage.

This cost me just about 360 if I remember right. Get more than one quote for sure because my first one was much higher than what I eventually paid. Hard to tell the complete extent of yours, but mine was down to the plastic in more than a few places.

Wow, I totally did that this weekend on the back drivers side of my car where it sticks out. I only had the car for a week so I know how you feel! I have a small one car garage at an apartment and was in too much of a rush turning in. I took it to a body shop and they wiped the white paint off with some solution. I had them try to buff out some marks, and I was left with 3 little scratches. They quoted me $400 to get panel repainted.

If you just use touch up paint it'll cost you the amount of the bottle. You could do that, it won't look as good but no one will notice unless you specifically point it out to them.

At the shop it would probably cost you $400-500

Sorry to see that....I'm always nervous about doing something like that. I only have a couple inches on each side of the mirrors when going in and out of my little garage. Hope it is fixed soon!

That sucks. I have been close backing up in mine. Hard to see out of these cars.

I'd think you can get it repaired and refinished for around $700-$900 depending on the shop. Your red paint might add to the cost. Reds cost more according to my local automotive paint guy.

We have a nice roomy shop door but my husband leans everything he uses against the walls and I'm forever moving anything that could possibly fall against the Camaro.
Sorry for your buzzard luck OP, I hope it isn't too spendy of a fix.

Don't feel bad buddy. I had 2 different dumb asses hit the back of my car and both times it was around $1100.00. What pisses me off is now there will be to hits to car fax. I know I can show people the bills and they can see that both things were not really that bad but SHIT it sucks.. Good luck buddy!! Make sure you take it to a good body shop..

Don't feel bad. I did the exact same thing to my other car... $800 to repair.

If I was the OP, this would have made me laugh and somewhat make me forget about my troubles. As you can see, it didn't make anyone else do the same. Sometimes the only way out of a bad mood is a good joke. I'm sure you meant well and was just misunderstood.

OP- I have a fairly wide 2 car garage and still have to be careful backing out because of the cars out in the driveway. The quicker you get it fixed, the better you will feel. I have 2 Chevy dealers whose body shop I trust. Good luck with the repair.

My wife did that TWO times to the front right side of our Camaro as she was backing out of our garage and trying to turn at the same time. With these wide bodies backing and turning is NOT an option. I tried to be real patient with her and say that there is no excuse for it happening a third time. BTW the white latex paint from the garage door trim came off both times very quickly with a little acetone on a paper towel and just a little pressure. My damage was not quite as much as this guys.

I'm going to make a bazillion dollars by inventing garage doors that are bowed out on the sides

I've come close too many times backing out cause I'm more worried about hitting the wife's car. Already had the leaf blower fall off the wall and dent my rear fender. Paintless Dent Repair made it all like new for less than $100. May want to see how much of that they could restore and buff out(obviously not the chip). Now there's nothing on the walls around my car except other car memorabilia.

Good luck, Hope it's a quick fix!
