2 catch can questions

1) Anyone know if the plastic fittings on a RX catch can can be replaced? I think I have leaky fittings. If I spray fluid near the fittings my AFR drops.

2) Whats the difference in Elite vs Apex catch cans other then the bracket?

i would assume you can find fittings to replace the ones on the RX can but I like many other people dont like their setup with the drain tube.

the Elite and Apex cans are very similar aside from the bracket. i am going to go with the Apex can personally.

both...leaking air. Was wondering if they have to be drilled out to replace them.

If it were me, I would pick up an Elite or Apex can and not bother with the RX can. So much easier to empty too.

I am tempted, but its money down the drain yet again...may come to that. I wish i knew whats the internal difference if any between the elite and apex. I like the Apex bracket better cause the elite puts the can in the way of my nitrous solenoids.

Do a Google image search on the apex and elite Catch cans. The differences are easy to spot.

As for the fittings on the RX can it looks like the outlet fitting unscrews, and the inlet just pushes on

You'll probably have to contact Tracy @ rx for replacements.

I know in some instances where the car is in a cold climate area the check valve is sometimes removed because it can freeze the condensation inside it during the winter months and cause the crankcase to become over pressurized.

Ahhh, the sweet, sweet sound of a freshly installed cold air intake!

Enjoy!
