I have it on PS3 and have never had a problem until today when it repeatedly froze and kicked a handful of games I left that lobby and didn't have any problems for several games until one guy from the problem lobby showed back up and so did the problems. So I am wondering if the problem may not be (partially atleast) with people who have modded or otherwise tampered with their systems and/or game? Just somethin to think about

Modded PS3 system wouldn't run any different. I have a Jailbroken PS3, and it is impossible to play online right now

If the PS3 version is glitchy, that means that the testing team was slacking, or the developer didn't have time/want to fix the glitches before the game shipped. After being a tester for EA for 2.5 years, and sony for 6 months, I know the system and sometimes the testers find things that the developers just can't fix in time for the launch. There's only one game crashing bug in the shipped version of Buffy the Vampire slayer for Xbox (my first game as a tester), and I can only get it one out of 10 times.

007: Die another Day was one of the cleanest games ever produces by EA. I was on that team as well. =)

Yeah.. you think this is bad you should google Fallout: New Vegas. It either freezes, gets me stuck inside a mountain, or the bitrate slows to make you think it freezes until that turn to the right you made 3 hours ago actually happens..

I think longevity is going to be an issue with PS3s. All mine can still do efficently is play Blurays and I can also play them on my laptop so..

Xbox time?

I know I'm going to just hex' myself, but I have a FAT 80G that I got in winter '07 and have had NO problems. BUT, my dad has one, he got just before me, did just die, so... Of course, he didn't keep it ventilated, too well, and he's a little careless, so... I don't think comparing longevity of PS3 to 360 is a very good idea, considering heat issues I thought I remember from the inital 360s... lol.

Hit detection is my main complaint. When I shoot a somebody in the face, and it says that I missed, I just have to put this game down, and go back to Granturismo. I can shoot a guy four times, and it will only register my last two bullets. WTF!

so i went back to MWF2 also.. was not liking Black ops too much .. so i thoght i would just get to level 70 on 10th prestige .. now i am at level 42 in 10th prestige and 2 days ago i set up my class with claymores scavanger and cold blood, harrier, pave lov and nuke.. well guess what !! for the first time ever i got a nuke on hard core.. !!!

I had original Fat 60gb ps3 and eventually the bluray lense did die.
Sony wanted a little over $200+shipping to repair.....kind of idiotic when a new slim cost $300.

I found a local guy to replace the bluray lense for $100 even. He said it is pretty common for bluray lenses to burn out due to the high heat.

Hey I am on my 4th Xbox 360 because of the RROD!!! I still have my 60 GB Fat PS3 no problems. For the record to maintain the Fat PS3 be sure clean them about once a week with a dust buster/vacum cleaner. Keep it about 1" away from the wholes and suck up the dust so it can maintain ventaliation. The fat PS3s were dust magnets which can eventually cause heating problems if clogged, I think thats why the slim is Matt now.

Oh please. The PS3 is so much more reliable then the 360. My friend purchased one of the 250gb 360's from Best Buy back in Oct. He went through 4 360's in a week because they they all was either doa or RROD after a few hours. When he went back to complain, Best Buy gave him a free $100 gift card for his troubles and exchanged the console for the 5th time. His 5th console RROD on Thanksgiving.

I have the older-style 360 that's a year old, and I don't get a lot of heat. The fans will turn on and evacuate it, and that's about it.
