Whistle with CAI Intake Spacer

Can't get this whistle to stop with the spacer. Have messed with it from sun-up to sun-down today, and it just seems like its not really working that well. I tried with it off and that's just unbearable, sounds awful between 3-4rpms. I am thinking of returning it for a roto-fab, any opinions?? Maybe its the spacer??

Contact CAI directly. They should be able to help you resolve the issue.

I'm talking to Ted from JRE, just want to get some opinions on people who own rotofab, usually that's the company I went with my last 2 Camaros, but this time I chose CAI instead kinda regretting it at the moment hopefully we can solve it though!!

Hmm... I'm wondering if this is what I'm hearing. I was thinking it was some rubbing sound.

I don't mind it with my K&N. It sounds more like a sucking/whistle sound. At times sounds like some sort of forced induction lol

Your lucky you like it!! I saw a picture of a guy who had his stock rubber tube instead of the CAI Ind. tube to the throttle body and the MAF housing pipe so I figured I'd try it and it worked a little! The sound is definitely muffled a lot more, but still there. I wonder how that would effect the efficiency? Since like the CAI was designed to be better then the regular one? Lol, oh well at least it drives really well and I am talking to the guys from JRE and CAI to solve the issue!!

It really does sound like some forced induction, but I hate it cause it makes me feel like a loser since I have no FI yet :( That day will come soon!!

I think every car whistles. The less restrictive the intake, the more you hear it.

Thanks guys, I think i'm just going to give up on my dreams of a CAI on this car haha, I can't stand the noise. Maybe its not as noticeable on yours, but mine it's so loud I cannot bear it!! Love all your supports, its not your fault CAI Ind, or Roto-Fab, I blame GM on this one for the whistly IM!
