Building a Camaro
My dad and I were thinking of building a Chevy big block and finding a Camaro to put it in. We were thinking of a Camaro of the following years:
1969 (one with the rally sport package) 1970-1972 (we would prefer a z28) Or I would buy a Camaro in decent condition of the following years: 1987-1989 (with the 5.7 liter) 1994 (year I was born) Money won't be a problem since our family owns a car lot, which we can get a discount on parts, and would make it easier to assemble giving us room. Just about a month ago a friend of ours built a Nova their. I wanted camaro5's feedback. This would be a fun driving car to own, and give a father son feeling to car shows when we go.

I ve done a 79 Z-28 and two 69 Z-28's - I would shoot for the 69 lot less parts and more rewarding!

I say '69 Camaro RS all the way.
When I get to do my build, it will be a '69 Camaro. Would like to find a clean RS, but if not, any Camaro will do as it will be a pro-touring beast. The list of goodies include; DSE sub frame, DSE quadra-link, Wilwood brakes, BBC, Moser rear end 31 spline posi traction, smoothed firewall, Rushforth Wheels, interior mostly stock except for the DSE dash and Ididit steering column and an aftermarket steering wheel. Should be good enough to out handle a 'Vette or any German car that you throw at it! |

My parents surprised me with a 1984 camaro with a Tittle and with about 40 - 50 thousand miles. I will take picture and start a new thread in the project section.
