What is the Inlet Volume Flow on the ZL1?

Does anyone know what the Inlet Volume Flow on the ZL1 is?

We have all heard the heat soak issues on the ZL1 by building too much boost. What I'm trying to do is see where the point of diminishing returns hits, as far as blower efficiancy goes.

Here is Eaton's effeciancy graph for the TVS 1900

The formula for converting boost in PSI to P/R is (14.7 + PSI)/14.7 = P/R

SO take the OEM boost of ~9 psi you get (14.7+9)/14.7 = 1.61 pressure ratio.

I lost about 0.5-1 psi of boost by adding long tube headers, so now my pressure ratio is around 1.54 give or take.

Peak efficiency for this blower is 75% efficient, the next efficiency drop off is only 2% which really isn't a big deal. BUT the next drop off is another 3% (a total of 5% now).

Anyways trying to determine what pulley / boost combination is best for the sake of blower efficiency. However I'm unsure what the stock Inlet Volume Flow is.

Try this http://www.epi-eng.com/piston_engine...efficiency.htm

also to help with math here use this SCFM x 1.699=Cu. Meters per hour

I will guess with some numbers and got, 700hp @ 6000 rpm would require 1450 m^3/hr

Hey Chris, check this thread out, too. Once you put the new injectors in I think you will be making more power with the headers than you did without changing the pulley or porting.
