Dissapointing race out come.
My camaro six speed lost to a 6.0 gto with headers and tune, I have a cold air intake Nd axle back exhaust. Does that sound right to you guys?

Depends... the GTO is a beast. Roughly the same weight and power. What were his mods? Auto or manual? What's your experience and do you have the time slip?
The time slip and info about the GTO will help everyone breakdown your run. This was on a track, right?

Heh, my 2006 Twin Turbo GTO has run roughshod over a few Gen 5 Camaro's.....

That the whole point behind actually doing a race. Anyone can say they have a badass car or high HP numbers, its when you put rubber to pavement that proves it

Sounds right. The GTO is probably making around 410 rear wheel horsepower with the headers and tune. Your car is making about 375.
The GTO weighs a little less too.

Yea, its about right. I used to lose to my buddy's 6 spd GTO with shorties, CAI, exhaust, and tune back when I only had a CAI. After I put the headers and catback on, I beat him by about a car.

Your manual trans is what cost you. He was running probably a little more horsepower, and didn't have to shift. Unless you are an expert with shifting, the auto will take you if all else is equal.

The GTO's are very quick cars. They make 26 less horsepowe, but weigh much less. I've driven a couple and they just scream.

I had a 2006 GTO but the Camaro is sooo much beter looking than the GTO IMO.
