Auto transmission tested again (July 25). Result: test drove with scan tool. no codes and did not feel any adnormal shifts.

At least I have it on record previous TCM replacement did not fully resolve the low gear shift lag.

Picked up the car wed night after the second torque converter replacement. Car seems to have more pickup. 17 K miles. We will see. When we had the first one replaced it ran well for a few weeks and then came back. The car still continue to shift fine. Also the dash part was replaced and that is ok but not a perfect match.

The dealer is trying and that is good but the product isn't good.

I am pretty sure we will never buy another GM product again.

Ok I am having shifting problems. I drive a 2012 ls m6. And once in awhile my car will not let me get into 1dt gear to start moving. Is there a big problem with these trans that would cuz this. I am the second owner and the car has 29k on it. The shifting problem as been here since I got it. Do you guys think the dealership will fix it or will I have to cough up the $$$?

This thread is about the automatic transmissions. If your car has only 29,000 miles on it it should still be under the Factory 100,000 mile warranty. Unless it's from abuse or it's a worn clutch it should be covered.

I hope they can soon.
What is the bulletin number? Or where can I find it? I'm also having this problem.

Here ya go (see jpeg attachment). In fact, I'm trying to find out if the new model TC actually fixes the issue, or just kicks the can a little further down the road - only to resurface later. Mine is at the shop now, waiting... so far, no estimated repair date set.

TQ Conv. replacement seems to have solved the shudder issue. No more hesitation, and hwy mileage also went up. I was averaging 22 (hwy), and it is now closer to 26-27. Hoping for the best!

Out of state currently and started feeling the shudder again (yes, had the torque converter replaced in December 2012) at low RPM's (1k-1.5k). Not good when out of state. Going to call my local dealer tomorrow to go ahead and schedule an appointment as soon as I get back. Anyone else have this happen twice? Yes, it could be something else, but the symptoms are very similar.

Back home and have an appointment this Tuesday at my local dealer.

Anyone with recent experience on this happening twice?

Tranny troubles

I had trouble with the tranny in my 2012 Camaro. It has the RS package, don't know if that makes a difference. It wasn't shifting correctly. Took to the dealship and they told me that it was the torque converter. Replaced it...it was still under warrenty. I haven't had anymore tranny troubles. (keeping my fingers crossed) That was about a year ago.
I have to say...I just LOVE my Camaro I get alot of compliments on it.
