Some people?

Ok so im walking back into work from lunch today. Hear a loud noise and I look up to see a co-worker driving a chevy(corsica 94ish) beat all to hell hit another coworkers car its a new on one not sure of the type. Anyway he hit the car so hard when he was pulling in fowards(btw) that it moved a foot and a half. He immedentlly moved his car across the lot. While he did this I went and inspected the car . Did some good damage to it. I waited him inside and blocked his path, he was trying to side side me I kept blocking him till he finally looked. He said "can I help u?" My response "yes u can , u can either be a man and report what u did and pay for the damages u did to that persons car, or u can play stupid and make me treat u like a 3rd grader and tattle on you. Either way I will be leaving a note for the guy with my number you vechile, name, and license plate #." Well he choose the latter I had to type up a report to what I seen and also had the 4 other people who saw it with me and sign it.
I really think people that do this should be hit with a billy club. Anyone else feel this way? I know. I would i like if this were to happen to me and someone seen this happen they would leave me the info and their number if I wanted to know exactly what they seen. Im just glad this wasnt my car. I would have gotten fired or thrown in jail.
Whats your opinions on this?

Sounds like one of those bottom of the barrel types that society really could do better without. Harsh words, and people can change, but its the truth.

I'd call the cops and report a hit and run. Then he'd have to pay damages + have that on his license record. Maybe have taken from him.

Hopefully your co-worker is not involved in a position requiring ethics, honesty and character.

I don't think anyone gets a free pass just because it wasn't a public road. Hit and run is a hit and run

may want to check on your state there because here the cops would not even come on a private lot. another fleecing of the tax dollar. they should come no matter I agree but here they will not - I got hit a couple years back and the guy ran and the cops said sorry private lot and I had video.

That doesn't make any sense. If some guy is shooting up an office building are the cops just going to say "sorry private building"?
