Its kind of like nitrous. A 100 shot will give you 100 hp but more than 100 in tq somewhere around 140. I put a 200 shot on the Camaro and it went from 463rwhp and 468tq to 641rwhp and 809tq. "Generally speaking going to a stroker combination increases HP roughly 10-15 and torque 35-45 at the tires given no other changes." - Anthony @ LG Motorsports "Adding stroke mainly increases torque more than anything because you are changing the mechanical advantage of the engine by providing a longer lever arm. Because HP is a function of TQ, HP increases as well but not to the same degree." - Anthony @ LG Motorsports

Building the Beast

sorry to offline any of your convos, but the 416 without his blower would make what kind of power on a stock LS3?
I have always said I wanted to stay N/A, but my confusion is - to slowly build towards a stroke and everything similar to the build stated here (without the boost)... - would the money be worth the power? My plans are: cam, rear end, gears etc...on the way to a stroker, staying N/A and building the suspension and little things to keep it in check along the way. what kind of power could I expect with that? I hit 407rwhp and 406lbft I believe with the JRE 415 package. A cam would put me up to about 450rwhp? so with everything done would I would assume 500rwhp could be a goal? Last question: How much does it cost to stroke? bore? have everything done? lol thanks for any patience and responses!

Certainly 500 RWHP would be easier to achieve with more cubic inches. Most Cam, Headers, intake, underdrive LS3 cars are making about 460-470 RWHP another 40 cubes would put you right where you want to be. Ted.

Hey I'm sorry that I am late to this thread. I have done a Stroked LS3 418. We are actually doing the dyno as we speak. I have pretty much the same mods just have a D1 procharger, 3.77 pulley, 1000cc injectors, math kit, and a procharger big red BOV. I have not upgraded heads yet. I thought that they would still have good flow, but I am kind of questioning that now. The best dyno that we have done as of recent is 630rwhp and 576tq. That is no meth and no timing added. What numbers did you make if you don't mind me asking? I just feel that we should be making more power off the motor and the d1 than just 630.
I made 630 on my last set up when I didn't have a built bottom end and smaller cam and 1 7/8 headers. Any info would be help. Thanks guys.

My set up is similar to yours except the blower. Tuning mine it made 749 rwhp. My Maggie is maxed out and ran out of air.
