2013 ZL1 #2419 BUILD [COTW 11/10/14]
Well I finally decided to start a build thread for my 2013 ZL1.
The day I brought her home telling my wife that it was perfect & didn't need any mods, lol isn't that what we all say!? Since I told my wife I wasn't going to mod the car for a while I decided to do some vinyl work using carbon fiber 1080 scotch-print to give it a different look than anyone else, as well as tinted taillights & side marker lamps. After the vinyl work was finished I went on to do some paint work! I paint matched the Engine cover, strut brace ends, & the GFX. Needles to say she was beginning to look like a totally different car IMO. Last edited by PWRHSEZL1; 08-15-2013 at 10:01 AM. |

Well i was only content with the cosmetic work and the STOCK HP for about 6 months..... I then decided to jump deep into the modding after saving up a decent amount of mod money! So I then went down to American Intense Racing in Arvada, Co to talk to the owner Clint Baxstrom and see what we could do with the money I had saved. Needless to say we came of with a plan that was a little scary to me at first considering the car only had 3500 miles on the clock. But after some thought I decided it would be worth while and dove right in.
We decided to build a complete forged motor!! With a few extra goodies to set it up for some big boost later down the road! Here is the mod list to date and a few pics for Candy! 1. You have given me more ideas for more carbon fiber. I was going to pull the parts this winter and have them hydro dipped. Great build, keep it coming!

Glad I can help! I thought about going with hydrodipping but decided to just go with vinyl since I do it myself! Tons more to come!

It's fairly simple, it just takes patience and and lots of time! I run a Vinyl wrapping & plastidipping business and like I tell all my customers vinyl will last as long as you want to take care of it properly! On average though you're looking at about 5-7 years for exterior and 7-10 for interior!
