Wow mike that's a beautiful truck! I want to get a Tahoe in the next six months, but Ive heard some horror stories about them breaking down really quickly. Especially the transmission. Did u purchase the extended warranty?

Thanks!

We did get an extended warranty; the new cars are just too expensive to repair once they're out of warranty. I don't have any qualms about GM; I worked for GM dealerships for over 20 years so I'm pretty comfortable with 'em. You'll always hear horror stories; people love to complain and given the volume of GM, Ford, Chrysler, Toyota, Honda, etc...there's going to be people griping. Think about it, when's the last time you heard a complaint about a Bugatti? And, you kinda get what you pay for; cheap car =low expectations Super expensive=high expectations...it's in the middle that expectations vary quite a bit; some folks have super high expectations for mediocre cars and some have low...alot just depends on your attitude!

Hey Mike! I haven't checked in here in a long time. Hows everything going? Hope all is well. No Tahoe yet but its in the works. I might have one by May or June. Have a Happy Thanksgiving!

We enjoyed a nice turkey dinner yesterday with killer home made blueberry pie. Lots of snow around here and another storm coming through tonight, I suppose we'll be shoveling out once again! WKDBAD is put up for the winter and I don't have anything planned for mods...we did get a great lisence plate holder from our friends in Tennessee who went to the Martinsville race (it's fun when people think about you!) Work is coming along as normal, although it looks like a week-long trip to Nome in late January (if you call that normal!) How's everything with you?

I'm glad to hear u had a wonderful thanksgiving. Ive been doing well just been really busy with school, work and helping out my parents at the family business. Just don't get much time to stop in as much. Nice frame holder! where is nome located? Never heard of it. We are finally going to be seeing winter like weather here coming this week. It's been above average for well over a month.

North

Nome is a famous old gold rush town on the Seward Peninsula in Western Alaska just below the arctic circle...if you head north west for about 5,000 miles, you be there! Wyatt Earp lived there for awhile before he died...they're still finding a lot of gold in Nome today!

Check this link...

http://tv.broadwayworld.com/article/...e-127-20111206

It's here if you want to dig it up! Still lots of gold in those thar hills...

I'm headed up for a class we're doing up there, should be fun. Check the Discovery Channel series out and let me know what you think...the locals are afraid that it will spark another gold rush, especially with the price of gold. I've actually found some gold up here but it wasn't enough to even buy a hamburger!

Hey, how are u? It's been so long since you've checked in. I not sure if I will be getting on this year as my dad is in the process of buying a second business. He's putting lots of time and money into it, so I dont think I will be able to get one this year. I guess time will tell.
