It's a Chevy, not a Cadillac.

Comparing this car to a Mercedes or Lexus is comparing apples to oranges.

Adding all that luxury stuff to the car and it will cost more than a Corvette!

I thought of one more!!

Please look into integrating the Reverse Assist Sensors into the gap between the rear fascia and the diffuser. (where the reverse lights were on the concept car).

If put in the gap and painted the same matte-black as the plastic, they'll be recessed and completely inconspicuous. I understand this feature will be required by law soon...though I could be wrong.

If possible, this would solve all the aesthetics concerns we have with the sensors as they are now.

Thanks, again!

First Thank you for giving all of us the opportunity to state our opinions and ideas in a forum that will be heard. You have received a lot of great ideas from Camaro owners. I would like to give my ideas as one of the guys that is truly waiting for the Z28 to arrive.

1 - I loved the HUD in my 99 Vette and would pay for that option again.
2 - Memory Seats, a much needed option
3 - The interior lights on the rearview mirror from the Corvette worked very well to light up the interior.
4 - Please DO NOT MAKE THE Z28 A TT V6!
5 - I will be happy with the LSA engine. Much, much happier with the LS9 engine. Take a look at Edelbrock's E-Force S/C package as a possible alternative to the Maggie S/C.
6 - A true air induction hood that looks like the SLP hood design.
7 - Use original Camaro colors, 67 Marina Blue is an excellent choice I might add!
8 - LED tail lights and parking lights to help distinguish the Z28 from LT & SS but please keep the RS Halo package.
9 - Any kind of weight reduction would be good.
10 - Include a short throw shifter with the Z28 package.

It is a beautiful car and I am ready to order a Z28. Thanks for this opportunity.

I am sorry! I forgot one more item.

11 - The functional rear brake ducts, like the ones used on Jay Leno's Camaro would be very cool on the new Z28. They would also go well with the 6 piston Brembo brakes on the front!

OK, I am done dreaming, thanks again.

Suggestions:
1) reduce weight
2) offer more interior options-plus better materials
3) offer multiple rear end gears
4) build the Z28 - (that's what I'm waiting for!)
5) offer second set of wheel with "street slicks" like BFG R-1's
6) allow me to order my car and pick it up at the factory like the 'Vettes
7) subtle improvements every year that can be added to existing 5th gen - taillights, exhaust tips, lights

Build a sustainable relationship with us and we'll be loyal to Chevrolet - and thanks for at least condsidering our requests - Z Boss

Cool

Also want to second the following requests by others:
8) functional scoop
9) brake vents
10) GM Performance parts shifter \ knob
11) please, please increase the quality of the paint job - materials okay, but make the orange peel go away
12) decouple some of the options from option packages
13) improve the back up light location and design
14) engine options for the Z28 would be nice - like the first gen!!

My list since I plan on getting a 2011, what i would like to see:

More interior color combination options. For example a darker caramel color instead of the light beige.

A Shiny Metallic Black exterior color

Stock Chrome Rim option

Full Racing Stripes (on hood),

Adjustable Seat Belts (not just the little snap on the seat to hold in place)

A bigger driver side visor mirror and with lights please

Memory seats to remember settings

High quality full leather seats

Lumbar support (adjustable)

Fix the piece of junk L99 engine(lifters) or get it out of this car.If I had known I would be purchasing a new car and at only 800 mi. it would have a lifter tick on start up,I would have kept my BMW.
Sorry, just venting, but it took forever to bring this car to market and to put an engine in this car with a known defect just pisses me off.

Smile I had a 99 camaro Z28 and i sold it to get the 2010 SS

I sold my 99 camaro Z28. First i took it to carmax to see how much they offer me, they told me we'll give you $3000 for it, i was like what, screw that the book value is like $6000 to $7000 back in may 2009.
A girl was intersted in the car so she bought it for $6500 she felt in love with my car. Well i used that money to put a down payment for my new 2010 camaro. I order my camaro and i had to wait 6 months to get it. Finally in August 2009 it arrived to the dealership. I'm super happy now

That's not a defect. It's just characteristic in LSx engines to hear some valve clatter. No worries.

I was reading an article about the 2011 Mustang today and it reminded me of some more things that would be good in the next MY camaro.

I'd like to see a posi rear end standard in all of the models(Auto V6) and an optional lower gear ratio. The article showed that ford is having posi standard in all of their models next year and they have a lower gear ratio than us.

Something that was also in the article as part of something I think they called "My Key" is an option to govern the speed to anything they want, so that parents can control how fast little Jonny is able to drive. I know I've seen threads on here with concerned parents thinking that the Camaro is too much car for their children... this is something that will make them feel better about their purchase for a younger, more inexperienced driver. I'm sure that they will figure out how to change it , but it might sway more parents into buying... we don't want the Ford guys to have that edge.

Characteristic my a$$,why is it that my 08 Vette did not have this problem(characteristic),because if it did no one would spend over 40K for a car that ticks at start up.
You and every one else with that attitude(its normal) is letting GM off the hook. With the technology and an R&D department at GM you would think that maybe just maybe someone would come up with a lifter that does not drain down after sitting.
To build a concept and take years to bring it to market, then build it with a defect in the motor is beyond me.You may call it a characteristic,I will still call it a defect.
