Kind of disappointed in GM

Let me start by saying not in the car, mine is being built next week.

What I am disappointed in is GM. This will come accross to some of you as whining, but so be it. I currently serve in the military and am buying a ZL1. GM, I believe, is making a mistake in not offering this awesome car within its' Military Discount program. I know that the car will sell no matter what, but there are A LOT of sales that would be bolstered by the Military Discount program. The Corvette is offered... Just my thoughts...

OK, flame on, I can take it.

Again mine is ordered.

I'm not a Vet and I agree. Not just GM, but our country as a whole needs to take better care of our Vets. Thanks for your service.

Totally agree. Don't get the logic of this, when like you said, the Corvette is offered.

Thank you for your service to our great country. I agree 100%. I gave customer service a harsh scolding on this very matter. I suggest you do the same. Please send GM Customer Service an e-mail and let them know how you feel. The more people/pressure we can put on them, especially if some news agency picks this up and decides to do a story on it, the better chance of GM following through and offering our active duty and vets an incentive program. All the other camaro's have the USAA $750 discount incentive, it should include the ZL1. Look at places like Lowes and Home Depot, they give everyone who has a military ID, active or retired, a 10% discount. Lets put the pressure on GM to start showing some respect for all our military comrades whom willingly place themselves in a position to possibly make the ultimate sacrifice for us and their country. They deserve a special thank you from corporate America.

Matter a fact I'm going to sent GM Customer Service another e-mail on this matter. This time I'm going to tell them that I read in a breaking news forum that "Ford is going to give all active military an incentive on all Ford vehicles" lets see if that can shake things up!

Lets not forget the rest of the volunteers that put it on the line, both sworn and unsworn, LEO's, Fire Fighters, EMT's all these people are just as deserving.

Glad to know I am not the only one that feels this way. I called GM customer service and was told because it is a limited production car, I should be grateful to get one, with no discounts. Was reminded that dealers are marking up the ZL1 5k or more(luckily not mine) and people are still in line to buy them.

Yup, no idea why they exclude the ZL1 from the discount.
