Love it or Hate it - this GTR is Fast...well then they say it broke!

Supposedly this car was putting out 600 hp and they launched 100 times using Launch Control before the tranny finally broke. Love it or Hate it.....this car definitly rocks...This is what performance looks like....at least temporarily. Had they beefed up the tranny....no one would be complaining about the capability of this car.

You know, if you have skill you can get to 0-60 in under 4 seconds w/o LC. Trust me, you're not really going to care about .5 of a second, it's still fast as hell.

I'm not going to argue it's not a bad@$$ car, but anyone can build a fast car that doesn't have any durability/reliability. Still, the future is bright for that car and it's only going to get faster.

I'll never say it's not fast. But even if they gave it to me for free, I'd rather have a ZR1.

I have loved skyline longer than most on this website. But using the launch control a hundred times, and it broke? That doesn't scream quality to me. And it depresses the hell out of me. That car should be bad ass, all the f****** time. Not bad ass only when it leaves the shop. Plus you have to have a mechanic nearby that is specially trained to work on the damn thing. Which there are only a few. I like the new Skyline (ooops, i mean "GTR" sorry) but until all of the bugs are fixed the R34 is going to continue to be my favorite skyline!

Widened and hardened gear sets are already in development, I was actually surprised that the first shop to announce upgrades is only a couple hundred miles away too. (South Side Performance).

I respect the car, and have a pretty good feeling that Nissan will get it up to par by next year, even though it's taken a major blow, but my biggest gripe is that the damned thing is just so... unbelievably ugly.

Edit: And I'm a little miffed that MotorTrend stated that it's quality is "unsurpassed among supercars", because it's pretty damned far from it. In fact, right now it's quality is the laughing stock of supercars.

So a few trannies broke. We've had that here as well, it is a first model year. What do you expect.

Does everyone forget:
LT engines optispark
Camaro weak 10 bolts
GTO half shafts and rears
CTS-V rears breaking(and btw alot of them were denied warranty)

Every first model year has some issues, that being said I usually wait until the 2nd year is out.

Still I think it's a damn nice car especially for awd, but I'd rather have the Z06 anyday!
