A/c squeal
Car squeals bad when ac is turned on, only lasts about 20 sec...anyone know whats up with that?

if the pully stops while the belt moves...is it the tensioner?

Its commonly a belt, sometimes the tensioner, and even less common, the A/C compressor.
The A/C compressor works like a clutch, it should always be spinning, but the inside piece isnt connected to anything, once you turn the a/c on, the pulley hooks up with the compressor, doing its A/C thing. Id try a new belt, its almost always the culprit, if that doesnt work, try the tensioner, and hey, you have a spare belt for emergencies now |
