That's pretty sick. GM could probably sell that as a performance compact or pony car under the Buick name or Pontiac if you split the grill differently.

I graduate on Sunday, then I take finals over the next week. After that, I hope to go to work as soon as possible.

Apparently, they submit an estimated grade based on my performance during the semester. As long as I do well enough to fulfill my graduation requirements, I should be fine.

So far, I've been on 6 interviews. I'm confident that I'll be able to find something in sales or management. That'll give me experience for my future goals until my girl graduates. Then, we'll discuss where we want to go together. I have another interview Tuesday, I've been in touch with someone who boasts several opportunities, I have a connection at another place I've applied, and I got an email today claiming that someone will be in contact with me shortly. When people say that they can't find a job, I think part of it is that the market blows, and part of it is that they won't take a job that is "below" them. Fortunately, not much is below a fresh college graduate.

I guess that makes sense...

Well that's good to here, and there are always going to be jobs in sales and management, it just depends on what industry you are looking to do that in as to what demand there is for it. And people not taking a job that is "below" them is one reasons, another is that a lot of the people losing their jobs never went to college, and the last big reason is that they are looking in the wrong industries for jobs... I am a management major as well, and going to double major in prof. sales....so in a few years I will be in your current situation... GOOD LUCK with that interview and Tuesday, but most of all, I hope the place you are looking to work for the most gives you some good news!

I'm actually not worried about Tuesday. It's an insurance company whose people make their money on commission. That's not what I really want right now. It just doesn't make sense for someone coming out of college with an empty wallet to wait until I can find a lead. I'm really banking on the guy who says his business has a lot of openings and a new store in town. It looks like there are plenty of good products to see there, and the prices are good. They're stock rating is way above the Dow Jones, so this looks like a winning opportunity.

By the way, I have experience in sales, but my major is political science. I've taken more classes in my major than some grad students. I would have graduated last May if I didn't take so many classes in my major and just worked on graduation requirements.
