Heated Seat Issue

We have a weird issue with the heated seat on the passenger side. When it’s cold out (< 40 degrees), the heater won’t stay on (at first). It lights up for about a second and then turns off. After the interior temperature warms up, it will stay on. When it’s warmer outside, it works right off the bat.

At first I figured it was a short or a bad connection under the seat but jiggling the wiring under there doesn't have any effect. The problem went away when the weather warmed up last week. It wasn't until it got colder today that I thought that the temperature might have something to do with it.

It’s not quite bothersome enough for me to take it in for service just yet. Any ideas?

Easiest thing to check is any connections under the seat. Make sure they are solidly connected.

My drivers seat does the same thing, I took it to the dealer and of course it worked every time. Very annoying. I figure it will probably quit altogether soon. Just have to wait and see I guess.:(

I just started having an issue with my passenger side. I push the button and it comes on for about a second or two seconds and turns right off. At times it will stay on for a few minutes and than turn right off.

The drivers side stays on and turns off when I turn it off.

Also the passenger seat won't respond to turning it to heat level 1 when it is on.
