ADM Intake Scoop Data at the track

Yesterday Number 9 showed up for a little more power,He purchased our new Intake scoop that goes were the waterbottle sits currently as well as a set of ARH 1 7/8 Headers and a tune.

His prior setup was:

ADM Street Intake
ADM Performance tune
ADM Extra quite custom 2.5" exhaust
ADM Extended o2 sensor kit
ADM Downpipes

He made 342rwhp and 360tq

His best time in the 1/8 mile was 8.54 @ 83.8 - NOT SHABBY!

His new setup is :

ADM Race Intake
ADM Intense performance tune
ADM Performance quite custom 2.5" exhaust
ARH Stainless 1 7/8 headers

He makes 360 rwhp and 378tq

His new time in the 1/8th mile is 8.289 @ 87.23

Looks like the Airscoop is good for some serious mph over our street version.

Already had a tune(car made 305 rwhp stock) and already had our Downpipes that make 20-25 rwhp...so switching to headers does not make much difference over our downpipes.

HOLY CRAP ADAM!

CALLING ALL CARS! CALLING ALL CARS - "ADAM 12" is ripping up the track!

That would be a better screen name for ya! "ADAM 12".

Andy looks like we need to test one on a M6 car! Those gains are TEMENDOUS! Need to get a Converter in that car and then it starts parking some SERIOUS trailer cars.

Nice Job Andy, I am just curious, Are you forcing Lock up in 4th when dynoing Auto Cars, the numbers seem low but normal if converter is not locked in 4th.

Not locking the converter.

Our dyno is notorious for being the lowest in the metroplex...I have no probelms with that.

Andy
I thought so.

I would be curious to hear how the numbers change with the converter locked.

Not that it really matters the Track Times show the results.

If you get a chance to try it let me know.

Here what I can answer (what I know...) - hopefully, Andy will fill in any gaps. Runs were at Northstar Dragway, an 1/8 mile track near me... so, according to dragtimes.com, here's some stats from race night:

Temp: 72.0 F
Humidity: 51%
Pressure: 30.05 in
Track elevation: 662ft above sea level

Calculated Results - Density Altitude: 1686 feet, Relative Density: 95.16 %. My 1/8 mile time was 8.2898 seconds @87.23mph.

Using the Tools at dragtimes.com and some conversion calculators that would be approximately a 12.992 @104.1mph in the 1/4 mile (again, that's calculated as I still haven't hit a 1/4 mile track yet.)

That track conversion is off. An 87 mph trap speed will get you more than 104mph trap speed.
In my GTO I had an 88mph trap speed in the 1/8 mile when I trapped 111mph in the 1/4 mile. And 8.2 in the 1/8 mile is a mid 12 sec run.

i have had my cars run 88-92 in the 1/8 and then run 110-114 1/4.. and 100 1/8 and 125 1/4

so usually add 18-22 mph on cars in the 85-95 mph 1/8 speeds N/A
