That's high, how much for brand new? With a full warranty and usually better financing rates, new is probably better deal than this!

Went to two banks and both banks pulled a value of $35,300 from nada . I think new is $36,800 base SS forget what my sticker says before options were added . Yeah high compared to brand new value but this is what the banks and dealerships use here in NY . Interest rates are lower when buying new but you can find great deals on used there are a lot of people hurting out there .

I'm not a good negotiator and when I see what I want, I get tunnel vision.

That seems really high for a used car I bought my 2SS/RS M6 brand new off the lot for 30.5k with only 30 miles on it.

I hear you but in NY everything is over priced ! If you click the link it has my NY zip code like I said we use nada here dealerships and banks . Good thing is banks jump all over this and will give a loan out in a heartbeat . For instance now nada says $34,150 if your getting car for 30k there is already $4,150 equity without any money down .

I bought my car in New Jersey about an hour and a half from where I live but I only use one bank for all my banking and it's in NY . I think I got a great deal at the time my car has every factory upgrade that was offered with 3000 miles for 30k . When I went to my bank even if i were to put no money down the car already had $5,300 in equity . With numbers like these it's a no brainer for the under writer to approve someone with good credit and income .

I hear what your saying but Just because we use these guidelines here and yes we come to the conclusion they are a little high doesn't mean that's fair market value . Which ever vehicle is being sold it's only worth what someone is willing to pay For it . Locally I would say Fair market value on an SS is between 27k and 30k depending on condition and upgrades .

Dude I just read this post again and I don't think we are on the same page this figure of $35,300 is what NADA list as high retail 3 months ago ( perfect condition with low miles ) we do not use KBB in NY . The Banks and dealerships in NY use NADA http://www.nadaguides.com/iphone.aspx
