I got the same email.... makes me feel good I preorderd one at introductory prices. I know GM is pushing the 6cyl and IMO the SS will go up after March 15, 2009. Preorder a SS now if you want one for current MSRP and beat an increase. The writing is on the wall.

I agree. Even with the 4th gen, I rarely saw any SS models.
Mostly the z28 275hp models and V6. I just don't think many will be willing to spend around 35k for the SS besides enthusiasts.

This is why I never buy a car till the model has been out 1-2 years.

#1 the prices tend to be less

#2 you can test drive them

#3 all the issues get worked out. That way Im not the guy who bought the brand new tundra only to have the camshaft commit suicide while the tailgate buckles under 100lbs.

Michael,

Counting down the days until you can get behind the wheel of your very own all new Camaro? You're in fast company. Less than one month remains to preorder one at introductory prices.1 Be one of the first to own a true 21st-century sports car.

Which one will you choose? It's available in a V6 with 304 hp and an estimated 27 MPG highway2 or in an SS, which generates 426 hp and goes from 0 to 60 in 4.7 seconds.

To preorder, download a spec sheet and then go to a local dealer to place your order. Be sure to hold your place in line before March 15, 2009.

Thats kinda cool. What does it mean to order at introductory prices, are the prices going up after March 15th or something?

Question

GUYS GUYS! I have a question. If it states that "Introductory Pricing only available to bona fide sold orders" does that mean that the dealers aren't allowed to add $5,000 to the car?

I think it means they can only add 5K to the "introductory price" rather than to the post-introductory price.

The dealer can do anything to the price. GM only sets the MSRP. Some dealers add B.S. stuff like undercoat to jack up the price. Others are more 'honest' and put another sticker on with something like 'high demand markup' or such.
