Youtube video smells fishy..... 1st run was a screwed pooch, 2nd run looked better, but it sure wasn't one car leaving the other in the dust. They were running 1/8th mile? Guess they didn't want to deal with the Camaro's top end advantage.

Depending on who drives these cars, on a drag strip stock vs. stock, this is still a driver's race between the three cars (SRT8, SS, and 5.0 GT). At the end of the day, not many people are ever going to drive these cars to their limits on a track. It all comes down to looks and styling and which one people prefer for themselves.

Spy video of 2011 GT on racetrack ?

If the audio in this video is for real I would be a bit worried. THAT car sounds awesome. Kinda scary because this video makes it sound like the mustang is a sleeper.

This.

The Camaro looks cool and is priced right. Why spend even $1 fixing what isn't broken?

The V6 models just need to sell well enough to support the V8's, that's it. "Style over Substance" is the name of the game and any actual performance is just a perk. Plenty of shenanigans can be had with "just" 304 HP.

Two for two.

The vid is good proof of the Mustang running pretty good now i know the SS runs better than what it did in the vid the first launch was crap the second one was a little better but not up to par with what ive seen at the tracks here in dallas....i will say this though i see alot of "stock" 1/4 times on some of you guys SIG saying 12.6 or 12.5 im not saying you didnt run it but the best ive seen from an M6 in the 1/4 was a 13.1 at 109 with a 2.0 60 which isnt bad with stock tires and 13.4 was the best my buddy ran with his L99 with CAI only

Ill give the mustang credit for not looking to bad , but when youre up against a car that wasnt drove to its potiential its going to look good. I dont blame anyone for being skeptial on the 12.5 or 12.6 passes especially if you havent seen one even close to that at the track. That vid proves absolutly NOTHING!

"top end advantage?"

The camaro does not have any advantage. If I had to pick something the camaro MAY do better, it would be on the LOW end. But with the better grearing and lighter weight of the mustang, that may not even be true. The "top end" would be a wash AT BEST.

Also, the camaro has bigger wheels/brakes/tires, which can soak up a little bit more. Is the camaro driveshaft one or two piece?
