I see everyone telling you to get the SS. All I am going to say is look at your financial situation. If you're going to take a big hit on your car-- think about how much higher insurance, gas and upkeep are, also. If you can afford all of that, then go ahead and upgrade. Myself, I'm one of the few V6 owners (I guess) who has never regretted my decision to get the 6. It's extremely peppy (hell, I was pulling out of a driveway today, goosed it a little too hard and squalled tires/got sideways), lookis amazing, gets terrific gas mileage, is easy on my insurance, and my payment is under $300 a month. For me as a daily driver it is perfect, but everyone's needs are different. I'd just say choose wisely. No reason to put yourself in financial hardship over a car when you have a beautiful new one right now.

We already have turbos offered... and a supercharger, for that matter!

Safer to mod, never heard that one. Care to explain?

I have to admit, I am really getting the SS itch. I swear it's going to just take one more "is that an SS" to put the nail in the coffin!

The LLT has been around for a long time; they have been putting it in the caddy for years. So I have to disagree with you. And that has nothing to do with whether it is "safer to mod" or not... just my opinion

This plus the Direct Injection in the V6 is PITA to work with (tune) because you have less control of the fuel pressure.

the Ls engines are very simple to understand. people around the world have been modding this engines for years. any tuner or engine builder will tell you Ls engines are easy and are a solid and strong engine to mod. thats why so many people do chevy v8 engine swaps.

Well, it was a Yukon not the Camaro. I love my 6 banger and over the 8, but at this point in my life right now I think the 6 is more practical and I just got mine in June as well. I think I'll hold on to her for a bit and maybe upgrade later down the line. As everyone says at some point in here, if you can afford to make the trade go for it!! If you can afford the payments for the SS and really regret not getting one to begin with then go for it. You're money, your choice but don't act too quickly and get stuck. You know?!?!
Yeah Ile admit theres time were I crave the extra power. As much as I love my car yeah I do wish I had waited for the SS at times. However I dont regret buying by 2lt I was 18 at the time so I feel lucky to have such a nice car.
Not to mention gas!My car has been in the shop for 2 weeks now so ive been driving my uncles tahoe, man does it use gas!
